Iain McGilchrist is a psychiatrist, philosopher, literary scholar, and author whose work has helped reshape contemporary conversations about attention, consciousness, imagination, and meaning.
His books, including The Master and His Emissary and The Matter with Things, explore how the two hemispheres of the brain disclose different ways of attending to reality. His work is especially relevant to questions of value, beauty, truth, and the renewal of a more adequate worldview.
